This Privacy Policy explains how Geezgenda (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Geezgenda mobile application and related services. Geezgenda is operated by Gonzalez Consulting (“the Operator”), based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States.
Geezgenda is a task-management and team-coordination tool for families, crews, and small organizations. It lets members create and assign tasks, track work time, share photos tied to tasks, and receive notifications. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Account details: your name, username, phone number, and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form — we never see your plain-text password).
Organization data: organizations you create or join, your role within them, and (where an administrator sets it) an hourly pay rate associated with your membership.
Task content: tasks you create or are assigned, including titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, statuses, and comments.
Photos: images you choose to attach to tasks, along with any captions you add.
Information collected automatically
Time records: when you use the time-tracking feature, the App records clock-in and clock-out timestamps, the job or task associated with them, and any notes you add.
Device and push-notification data: a push-notification token, your device platform (iOS or Android), and a device name, used to deliver notifications to your device.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Information
To provide the App’s core features: tasks, assignments, time tracking, photos, and organization management.
To send notifications about tasks assigned to you, requests awaiting your review, and related activity.
To let organization administrators manage their members, review submitted time, and verify work activity.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the service.
To comply with legal obligations.
3. How Information Is Shared
Geezgenda is built around shared organizations, so some information is visible to other members by design:
Within your organization: your name and username, tasks assigned to or created by you, time entries, and task photos may be visible to administrators and, where relevant, other members of the same organization.
Service providers: we share data with vendors who operate the App’s infrastructure on our behalf, including Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Expo (push-notification delivery), and Apple and Google (push-notification gateways and app distribution). These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or the Operator.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you request deletion of your account, we remove your personal profile data and disassociate your contributions, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Time records and task history within an organization may be retained by that organization for its own recordkeeping.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Notifications: you can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
Photos: the App only accesses your camera or photo library when you choose to attach a photo to a task; you can manage these permissions in your device settings.
Access and deletion: you may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us at the email below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor applicable requests.
6. Children’s Privacy
Geezgenda is intended for use by adults and by minors only under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or organization administrator who manages their participation (for example, within a family). The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 except where provided by a managing adult within their organization. If you believe a child has provided us information improperly, contact us and we will address it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls that limit data to your organization. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
